Mary Keenan Ellsbury
I fell in love with hair styling at a young age while living in Raleigh, NC. Propelled by the energy of a growing city, I sought out education and ultimately received a degree in cosmetology. The hair industry provided a great creative outlet for my natural attention to detail. Working alongside talented stylists in both the Raleigh and the Dallas/Ft. Worth area further challenged me to be the best I could be.
I love the salon industry. It provides an excellent opportunity for me to continually refine my skills, while spending time with some really great people. I regularly travel to amazing training sessions (along with my daughter, who now works with me as a stylist,) aquiring the latest in color and cut techniques. I love training and mentoring the younger generation of hair stylists.
On a personal note: Growing up as the youngest of 4 girls in a family of 6 kids, helped me to really appreciate spending time with women. I admire and respect what each woman brings to our world. We encourage and strengthen each other. We teach and we learn from each other. We laugh a lot, (sometimes we cry.) I'm so thankful that I get to experience the beauty of women...inside and out.
I look forward to seeing you at Salon Méche.
